Weecommerce has just scored an incredible PKR 11 million grant from DigitalOcean<\/a> (DO) in partnership with Beaconhouse National University<\/a> (BNU).<\/span><\/p>\n

So what\u2019s Weecommerce all about?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Weecommerce<\/a> was launched with a clear mission: to empower women entrepreneurs by providing them with free websites and dedicated support for a year after their websites go live.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The initiative was designed to address the challenges faced by women in Pakistani society, where access to resources and technology can be a bit of a challenge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The DO x BNU grant is a huge leap towards closing the resource & tech gap for women entrepreneurs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

With this fantastic support, Weecommerce is set to launch 180 free websites for women-led businesses all over Pakistan, helping them shine in the digital world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The significance of the grant<\/span><\/h2>\n

Securing the grant was not easy. The process was rigorous and involved multiple stages, including interviews, pitch decks, and written proposals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sabeen Khan<\/a>, the Program Lead, expressed her excitement about the grant, saying, “We’re very excited and aim to provide free websites to more women entrepreneurs in Pakistan<\/a> with this support.”<\/span><\/p>\n

No doubt, the grant is extremely valuable for Weecommerce. This funding will enable the initiative to launch 180 websites for women entrepreneurs across Pakistan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
